Hocker Grove
French One & Two

I was born in Charleston, West Virginia, but have lived in the Kansas City area since I was 3. I earned my bachelor's in Secondary Education from UMKC in 2010 and taught at Ruskin Senior High School before coming to Hocker Grove. My fiance is also a teacher; he teachs social studies at Alta Vista Charter High School. 

 

I have a dog named D'Artagnan, after the Musketeer (we call him Dari for short). He's 6 and loves to play with his squeaky toys! We also have a calico cat named Amarynthia, or Amari. She is only 2 and enjoys hunting flies that get into the house :)

 

When I'm not teaching or playing with my pets, I love to read and write. I am a published short story author and poet, and hope to break into novels someday. I also cook and bake, and dabble in sewing, quilting, and embroidery.

Travel is a big part of my life; I have been to most corners of the United States, as well as France, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Canada, and Mexico. I can't wait to add more stamps to my passport!
